Church website design, hosting and help
Your church website, off the volunteer roster.
Your website is often the first place someone meets your church. I keep it up to date and working, at a rate set for churches registered with the ACNC.
How does church website care work?
Send me what needs changing. I make the change and take the time off your hours, and each month you get a report of what was done. Prepaid hours you don't use roll over for 12 months.
Any one of these, roughly
What 5 hours gets done
Church rates
Prices in AUD, ex GST. Church rates are for churches registered with the ACNC, and standard prices are crossed out. Prepaid hours roll over for 12 months.

Who you deal with
One person who knows your site
The person who answers your message is the person who makes the change. No ticket queue, and no handover to someone new each time.
Because it's the same person every time, small jobs stay small: I already know how your site is put together.
Need a new church website?
Sometimes a site needs replacing rather than looking after: nobody can edit it any more, or it doesn't work properly on a phone. If that's where you are, I'll tell you plainly, then scope and quote a new site once you're sure it's worth doing.
I trained as a designer and build in WordPress and Craft CMS, so a new site is planned around what visitors look for and what your team can keep up to date.
Common questions
How much does a church website cost?
Looking after an existing church website costs $90 an hour as you go, or $425 for 5 prepaid hours, ex GST. Church hosting is $39 a month for churches who also buy hours. A new site, or a move to a new platform, is quoted separately, after a conversation about whether it's worth doing.
Who qualifies for church rates?
Churches registered with the ACNC.
Is church website care different from your standard maintenance?
Only in price. It's the same service as my website maintenance and care plans, at the church rate. If your site runs on WordPress, WordPress maintenance covers the updates, security and fixes in more detail.
Can you help with our existing Wix site?
Yes. If your site is on Wix or a similar builder, your plan there already covers hosting, so you don't need mine. I can still make the changes for you, at the church rate.
How long do common updates take?
Roughly: uploading a sermon to YouTube and adding it to your site takes 15 to 20 minutes, a new event page about 15, a new staff member about 12, and updating service times about 6. Time is recorded in 6 minute blocks, so a small change costs a few minutes, not an hour. These are estimates, and actual time depends on your site and the job.
What should a church website include?
Start with what a first-time visitor looks for: service times, where you are and how to get there, what to expect on a first visit, and how to get in touch. Then sermons, events, ministries and a way to give. If those first four are always current, the site is doing most of its job.
What isn't included?
Your platform plan (Wix, for example), domain name and any paid plugins are paid by the church or passed on at cost. Hosting covers the website only, not email. Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 both have free or discounted plans for registered charities.
Is there a minimum term?
Church hosting has a 3 month minimum, then it's month to month. Prepaid hours expire 12 months after you buy them.
