What is in a website maintenance package?
A website maintenance package, or website care plan, is prepaid time for updates, fixes, backups and security, with managed website hosting in Australia if you want it. Mine covers changes and fixes, CMS and plugin updates, backups, security and a monthly report. Unused hours roll over month to month and stay valid for 12 months.
What it costs
Prices in AUD, ex GST. Platform licences, domains and paid plugins are passed on at cost.
What I look after
WordPress, Craft CMS and Shopify sites, including ones someone else built. Shopify hosts its own stores, so those need hours only.

Website maintenance services in Melbourne and Australia-wide
I'm based in Melbourne and look after websites for businesses and not for profits across Australia, mostly remotely. It suits teams without a developer on staff who want changes made properly and updates done without anyone having to remember them, including sites someone else built.

Common questions
How much does website maintenance cost in Australia?
Pay as you go is $150 an hour, or less with prepaid hours: $145 an hour for 5 hours ($725), $140 for 10 ($1,400) and $135 for 20 ($2,700). Prices are ex GST, and time is billed in 6 minute blocks. Managed hosting is $220 a month.
What's the difference between a website care plan and hosting?
Hosting keeps the site online: Australian servers, backups, SSL, uptime monitoring and, on my managed hosting, CMS and plugin updates. A care plan is the work on the site itself: changes, fixes and advice, from prepaid hours. You can have both, or hours on their own with your current host.
Do unused hours expire?
Prepaid hours roll over month to month and expire 12 months after you buy them.
Can you look after a site someone else built?
Yes. Most sites I look after were built by someone else. I start by checking the version, plugins and hosting.
Is there a minimum term?
Managed hosting has a 3 month minimum, then it's month to month. Prepaid hours expire 12 months after you buy them.
What happens if I leave?
You take your site, your content and your domain with you.
Is email included in hosting?
No. Hosting covers the website only. Google Workspace and Microsoft 365 both work well alongside it.
How quickly do you respond?
As soon as possible, 9am to 5pm Melbourne time.
Which platforms do you support?
WordPress, Craft CMS and Shopify. I'm a Shopify Partner.
